Hey there! I’m Melanie Peralta—book-loving, adventure-chasing, and always dreaming up fun and unforgettable children’s books. My stories are all about sparking imagination, bringing joy, and taking kids on exciting adventures they’ll want to read again and again.

My Wonders with Leilani series follows a curious, big-hearted girl as she explores incredible places, meets fascinating creatures, and dives into all sorts of adventures—sometimes magical, sometimes wild, but always full of wonder! The first book, The Whimsical Zoo, is a playful, magical journey filled with quirky animals and endless surprises, but each book in the series brings something new and exciting to the table.

When I’m not writing, you can usually find me chasing the sun on a beautiful beach, exploring new countries, or tasting my way through different cultures (because food is part of the adventure, too!). Travel inspires my stories, and I love weaving little pieces of the world into every book I create.
